NDIS - Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (PBSP)

What You’ll Do

Join Purposeful Partners and make an impact through behavioural strategies that empower participants and reduce restrictive practices. Work flexibly, backed by a supportive, values-led team to deliver behaviour support assessments and develop strategies that reduce and eliminate restrictive practices while improving the quality of life for our NDIS participants.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments

  • Create Behaviour Support Plans (Interim and Comprehensive).

  • Submit behaviour support plans to the NDIS Commission.

  • Provide training and guidance to families and support staff.

  • Monitor, review, and adapt support plans based on participant progress.

Core Objectives

  • Ensure participant dignity, safety, and rights are upheld.

  • Reduce the use of Restrictive Practices through consistent training, planning and care

  • Facilitate positive outcomes through trauma-informed and person-centred approaches.

  • Maintain compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.

Our Perfect Candidate

  • Hold a degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy or a relevant field.

  • Have registration ability with the NDIS Commission

  • Proficiency in report writing and ability to train staff in such areas

  • Ideally 1+ years working in Behaviour Support and strong knowledge of the restrictive practice frameworks.

  • Comfortable navigating complex challenges whilst guiding staff and families through these challenges.

  • Collaborative Team Player: Values open communication, diverse perspectives, and works effectively with fellow staff members and allied health professionals.
